NYU Tandon EG-UY 1004 Teaching Assistant

As an Engineering and Design Teaching Assistant for the course EG-UY 1004 Introduction to Engineering and Design, I’ve had the opportunity to support and mentor over 500 first-year engineering students, helping them navigate their projects and labs. Collaborating with colleagues, I’ve contributed to the research and refinement of the course structure to ensure efficient and impactful learning experiences for students.

A key aspect of my role has been facilitating open lab sessions where students can work on their labs and team projects. During these sessions, I’ve provided guidance and technical support, drawing on multidisciplinary expertise across engineering industries—including CAD software like Autodesk Fusion 360, Revit, circuitry, and programming—to assist students in overcoming challenges.

Additionally, I’ve mentored two student teams who successfully qualified to compete in the Gunter Georgi Award Showcase. Through this mentorship, I offered advice on project management, teamwork, communication, and professional writing and presentations, enabling the students to effectively deliver and present their ideas.

This experience has not only sharpened my technical and interpersonal skills but has also deepened my understanding of how to foster student growth and collaboration within a structured learning environment.
